Proppy as a Web Service

Posted by James Watson on 23 Sep, 2017

I'm pleased to announce that proppy will shortly be available as a web service. The service will return a png image in response to a HTML GET request, allowing images to be directly embedded in club pages etc. The service is currently being tested and is available on the 'testproppy' beta area. Links use GET parameters to encode the plot parameters, e.g. https://soundbytes.asia/testproppy/ws/area?pwr=100&freq=10&tx=54.6944,-2.0753&y=2017

A number of parameters are currently supported;

This service is under active development and is liable to change in the next couple of weeks as new parameters are added and existing ones may change.

Any updates will be posted here.

As always, I'd be interested in any feedback and comments.
